CIVITAN CAMP
CAMP – What It's All About...
We put the happy in campers! The Abbie Rogers Civitan Camp hosts two weeks
of camping adventures each summer for children and adults with significant cognitive disabilities. Camp days are filled with ...

Camp days include exciting activities like boating, swimming, fishing, tubing, arts and
crafts, recreation, and more. Of course, there’s always time to relax by the lake at the
Yacht Club or make a quick trip to the spa. Every night is a party, whether dancing under
the pavilion, hanging out at the pool, or playing at a carnival.
Our goal is for all campers to participate, regardless of their abilities, and to have a safe,
fun and unforgettable camp experience.

Youth Week
Youth Week hosts 85 camper friends up to age 23 with significant cognitive disabilities (such as those diagnosed with Down syndrome, genetic disorders resulting in significant cognitive delays, etc.).

Fall Adult Camp
Fall Adult Camp hosts 50 adults and prioritizes those unable to attend during the summer and those living in their family homes.
The camp administrative staff accepts camp participants based on the ability of the staff and counselors to meet individual needs, given the nature of the camp environment. Those residing in South Mississippi are given priority, and rarely is space available for anyone outside Mississippi. Children and adults residing in a family home are given priority, compared to independent living or group homes.
